The Linden City Schools Board of Education has officially approved the 2026–2027 School Calendar.

Families and staff can now begin planning for the upcoming school year. The approved calendar is posted below for your convenience.

We look forward to another great year at Linden Elementary!

Join us March 2–6, 2026 as we celebrate the joy of reading with fun dress‑up themes each day:

• Monday – Cat in the Hat: Wear red & white
• Tuesday – Fox in Socks: Wear mismatched socks
• Wednesday – My Many Colored Days: Wear ALL the colors
• Thursday – Oh, the Places You’ll Go: Wear your favorite college shirt or a shirt from a place you’ve visited
• Friday – Green Eggs & Ham: Wear camo

Excited about picture day!

Today was an energetic, fun-filled, MOTIVATIONAL day as we ended the week with our Teacher's Institute!! It was ALL THAT!! Special thanks to the committee, the vision of our Superintendent (Dr. Thurman). the dynamic guest speaker Mr. Marcus Campbell and everybody that had a hand in making this day as refreshing and motivational for all of us today. It was RECEIVED and we shall deliver!!

Today we had the HONOR to present the first book written, illustrated and published by Mrs. Thurman's 3rd grade math class to Dr. Thurman. From Mrs. Thurman: I must say this was a tedious but joyful experience. My first time ever doing a project as such and we shall make this an annual project that's centered around math since I'm a math teacher (smile). However, the kids were very engaged in the writing process. The kids enjoyed, learned and WE LOVE THE FINISHED PRODUCT. SO PROUD of the kids and their determination to be GREAT. #Beginnings #missionAccomplished
